You place one portal on one end of the lot and one portal on the other end of the lot.
Example 2: You've built an extremely extravant and large home on a gargantuan lot. With the portals in place, your sim should choose the portal instead, getting upstairs much faster! In fact, you don't even need the stairs. Normally, they would need long and arduous stairs to get up to the computer. Your sim is idling angstily about on the first floor and decides they want to go play on the computer on the second floor. You place another on the second floor of a home. Example 1: You place one on the first floor of a home. If two or more are placed, sims will traverse through them automatically, if using the portal would get them where they are heading faster. They are visually doors, but act as portals to move between rather than the normal functionality. This mod adds new objects to build mode under Doors. (Since V1.1) Added portal door versions of every base game door, so you have lots of options to choose from. (Since V1.1) Added lock/unlock options that come with doors (including expansion stuff like cat/dog locks). (Since V1.2) Fixed an issue where sims could remain invisible if interrupted while traveling through a portal. Thanks to roBurky for spotting what was going wrong with strings in mods. Fixed an issue with strings from the Appatch that caused them to show up as blank, due to how some of them are made. And thanks to the S4S team in general for their patience and work in gathering information to create this fix and get it out there.
Credit and thanks to Andrew of Sims 4 Studio for creating a batch fix.
The mod should now be working again (star wars patch had broken custom doors and archways). The patch broke the tuning for the door, should be working now. The mod should now be working again (again). Latest: V1.2d, released after EA Patch, NovemPatch Notes
